An observation
Whoever that referee was who called the ticky-tack foul on George Marshall near the end of the Maryland/South Dakota State game was, he needs to be fired.
Because it's glaringly obvious that shithead is too fucking stupid to be a basketball referee.

Countdown to Opening Day: 15 Days to go
With 15 days left, here's Glenn Braggs:
This dude was strong. How strong? Well, that picture there is a picture of him breaking his bat - with his back. No kidding. He took a mighty cut and swung so hard, he hit his own back with the follow through and the impact shattered his bat.
If you're a fan of the Houston Astros, well, I'm sorry. Your team is the worst. However, you'll be pleased to know that the Astros won the World Series in my second go-round at simulating the 2016 MLB season with Out of the Park Baseball 17. Bad for me, but good for you, I guess. They beat the Cubs, 4 games to 1, so there really was no good outcome for me:
Someday, I'll post a listing, in order, of all the MLB teams and how awesome they are. (The Reds are No. 1, of course, and the Astros are No. 30. The Cubs are 29.) But today is not that day.

16 Days until the Launch!
There's 16 days left until Opening Day and the official launch of RGB Sports. Can you feel the excitement? Whilst there have been many great Reds to wear the number 16, in my mind, it will always belong to one Reginald Laverne Sanders:
I have downloaded and even simulated my first season with Out of the Park Baseball 17. I will be simming the 2016 season each day and collating the results. For the first sim, it was good news for New York Mets fans, as the Amazin's successfully returned to the World Series, this time defeating the Los Angeles Angels, 4 games to 2:
I'll have more on OOTP 17 later, but for now, take solace in that if your favorite team didn't win, there's 15 more simulations to come, so good luck!

17 Days until Opening Day!
It's 17 days until Opening Day, and the pre-release of Out of the Park Baseball 17. To celebrate the synchronicity, here's Chris Sabo on the crappy, crappy turf at Riverfront Stadium:
This also marks the soft launch of RGB Sports, the successor blog to RGB Cards, my baseball card blog from 2010-2013. After I got out of collecting cards, for a myriad of reasons, I was looking for something to write about. An all-sports blog, where I can pontificate, lampoon, and fisk poorly-written Bill Plaschke columns seems ideal.
We'll be counting down to Opening Day and the "hard launch" of RGB Sports with some classic Reds, Mariners, White Sox and Orioles players, as well as a review of the aforementioned OOTP 17 (currently downloading on my computer - 51 minutes to go) and my thoughts on the NCAA Tournament, approximately 24 hours after the games happen (because I'm in Australia).
Other events occurring between now and Opening Day: the start of the Australian Rules Football season, the Milan-San Remo bicycle race, the beginning of Carolina Railhawks season #10, and many horrible, horrible sports columns from dinosaurs like Dan Shaughnessy, Bruce Jenkins and of course, Bill Plaschke.
Hope to see you soon!
